Hey hey, im back again! - what a lousy starting. holidays had been great for me, especially when im not working~ sooo what i've been doing?? *exercising *online *eating *sleeping *reading (amazed tat i actually read?!) yeah~ i did.
yesterday i were reading the TIME mag coz i realised i never the touch the one whole stack of them since erm... months? im not lazy and i did read the first few copies!! just that i've been busy studying during the first sem.
okok~ back to the topic. yesterday i read this interesting article from TIME. erm.. can say it's interesting to me coz i love geography alot~ hee!! it's about the ice on Arctic is melting faster than the sciencists expected! and the reason for this is because of GLOBAL WARMING! let me show u a pic so that u all can understand better.
As the ice melts, darker seawater and exposed land reflect less of the sun's energy, making the ice to melt faster. like what we learn in Geo, land absorb more heat compared to wate; dark surface area will absorb more heat compared to white surface area. the pic above actually show u that the ice reflect 85% of the sun's energy and others is 20% and 10% respectively la. lol!
can u see the different from both pic? the ice surface is getting smaller right~ pity those animals and human beings living in tat area. imagine no more polar bears or penguins. ahhhh!!! and of coz many more problem will happen - flooding, erosion and blah blah.
hai.. sad ar.. anyway need to credit this to TIME mag if not i scared i kena sue from them. lol!!! there's all. hope u all learn something today
